Question:
The CompuRegister Cash Register keyboard with a programmable
Magnetic Card Stripe Reader is not programmed to work
correctly with Reporting to the MAX including Point of Sale and Non-profit Versions.
Answer:
The keyboard card reader on the compuregister
system leaves the factory defaulted to read three tracks,
and will also not send the semicolon and the carriage return
characters. Our software can only use the first two tracks
and must be able to see the semicolon and the carriage
return characters.
Resolution
The keyboard can be reprogrammed to work correctly in CMS.
