The major problem with Run-Time errors is that although occurring very infrequently
they will usually bring a particular operation to a halt just when you really need to get
finished. They are designed to occur so that you do not destroy or corrupt data and will
not of themselves cause a loss or corruption of data. They are a warning that something is
not right with your system. Almost all are straight forward (for instance a result of
trying to post something that has been entered incorrectly) and easily remedied. For a
complete listing of RT error causes and solutions see the Technical Reference manual. A few are
caused by something that occurred in your system when a particular operation was
attempted. Again most of these are easily cured once the problem is understood. The
following ( which are never seen but in the rare instance you should happen to experience
one) Run-time errors are cause for alarm and you should immediately contact Cougar
