On all 2000 or NT machines on network go to desktop icon. Right mouse click, properties, shortcut, put a check in run in separate memory space.
Server only. Right mouse click on my computer, properties, advanced tab, Put dot in optimize performance for applications.
Server only. My computer, Right click on drive cmswin is in, general tab, uncheck allow indexing services.
Server only. My computer, Right click on drive cmswin is in, sharing tab, cashing button, select manual caching for docs.
Server only. Right click on my network places, properties, right click on local area network, click on file and print sharing, click on properties button. Put dot in maximize throughput for file sharing. If running other applications like exchange or SQL server then select balance.
Run disk defrag on drive Reporting to the MAX is in once a month minimum.

Max speed on NT machine.

As above run in separate memory space.
Right click on my computer, click on properties, select performance tab, set the slide bar in the middle.
Right mouse click on network neighborhood, properties, select services tab, select server, click on properties, maximize throughput for file sharing. As above with other apps select balance.
NT doesn’t have a disk defrag utility. If they can, get third party disk defrag utility. Only other way to defrag cms is to force win2win.
