There are two steps to take in order to get Reporting to the MAX including Point of Sale and Non-profit Versions to communicate effectively with Report
Writer so we are able to edit and customize reports.
Find Report Writer
On the workstation that you have installed Report Writer
and also use Reporting to the MAX including Point of Sale and Non-profit Versions on, follow these
steps:
- Open up Reporting to the MAX including Point of Sale and Non-profit Versions and login to the
DMO company
- Click on Company/Organization (Fund) > Find Report
Writer
- The correct file should be listed in the Search For
Box (rrw.exe)
- In the Search In drop down menu Select 'All local
drives except floppies'
- Click Ok
- The search process will begin. Once it is complete
Double click on the instance of Report Writer with the
most recent date. This should point you to your newest
installation of Report Writer.
- The path you specified has been recorded > Click ok
File Settings in Report Writer
This setting will allow Report Writer to draw data from
the tables within the Reporting to the MAX including Point of Sale and Non-profit Versions databases
- Open Report Writer
- Click on Options > File Settings
- Click on the Data Browse button (...)
- Browse to the the DMODATA file > Highlight DMODATA
file folder > Click ok (i.e. C:\Cougar\cmswin\DMODATA)
- Jump down to the Template text box Click the Browse
button (...)
- Browse to the latest Report Writer Installation >
Highlight the Template file folder > Click Ok (i.e.
C:\Program Files\RRVER10\Template)
- In the index drop down menu Select MDX
- Click ok
- Click ok to exit the menu and now you should be able
to access Report Writer from within Reporting to the MAX including Point of Sale and Non-profit Versions to modify or customize your Reporting to the MAX
Reports
