Reporting to the MAX including Point of Sale and Non-profit Versions Tech Tip

Question:

Answer:

Problem

CMS works Just fine, but I cannot print checks, invoices, or purchase orders when I start CMS from a workstation. If I run CMS on the server, these forms print just fine

Cause

CMS is mapped improperly at the workstation and server.

Solution

Most likely, if you check the share at the server, it is set up on the CMSWIN folder itself; this will not allow the path information to be correct for the printing of these forms. The share defined at CMS server must be one level up in the Windows Explorer folder tree from the CMSWIN program folder. To correct this issue you must define the share on the drive or on the folder directly above the CMS program folder in the folder tree listing. Correcting this issue may require you to reinstall CMS after you have created the new share and remapped all CMS workstations to this new share.
