Q. How do I delete a batch from OE in DOS for the Reporting to the MAX?

A. From the system menu,

type 98 <enter>
Select 1, "Change Current File"

The system asks for the file name to change to type the file name OEBATCH.xxx where xxx is your company code and <enter>

Select menu item 4, "Patch File"

The system asks for the starting record number (in this case the subject batch #.

If the batch you wish to delete is 450, you enter all 5digits of the batch # thusly, 00450 and <enter>.

The system asks for the ending record # and you enter the batch # again and <enter>.

Once the record is on the screen (check to make sure it is the correct record) hit "F5" and select "Delete Key" option. The system asks if you want to delete it, you press "y" <enter>.

This procedure is for a batch that has already been posted & cleared. If you have a batch that has been partially posted and you try to clear it the system will not allow it.

Then you will have to copy a batch from your company or from different company into your batch. After you do this you have to clear it from within CMS - OE, Trans Processing, option 10, Clear Transaction Batch File.
