Resolution

To resolve this issue, verify that the xxxINMAT.dbf and the xxxINMAS.dbf files are different. Then backup your CMS data files. Now zap the xxxINMAT.dbf and run the inupdt utility to rebuild the xxxINMAT.dbf file

1. Open the inventory module and choose Options/ File Maintenance/ Display File information
2. Find the two files listed as INMAS and INMAT
3. Compare the number of records that each file has. If the INMAS has a higher number proceed to step 4.
4. Open up CMS and create a backup of your data
5. Close out of CMS and verify all users are out of CMS
6. Browse to the installation directory for CMS e.g. M:\cmswin\ and locate the file UTICMS.EXE
7. Open UTICMS by double clicking on it
8. Click on File/ Open
9. In the window on the right, double click on your company data folder
10. In the window on the left, double click on the file xxxINMAT
11. after the file opens, click File/ zap
12. Click yes when prompted to delete all records.
13. Close UTICMS
14. In the same directory where you found UTICMS, locate INUPDT.EXE
15. Select your company and click ok.
16. Close INUPDT and open CMS to verify that the item shows up.
