Question:
The following steps in CMS V8.5 cause a general
protection fault error to occur on the C4MDX.DLL file in
order entry:
1. Go to orders, enter orders.
2. Double click on the customer field to bring up the
customer lookup screen.
3. Highlight a customer and hit view.
4. Click the Tran History tab and hit Select.
5. Hit cancel and the general protection fault error appears
on the screen.
Answer:
This is a result of a program error in version 8.5.
Resolution
An upgrade to version 8.5.01 will correct the problem.

More Information
If Reporting to the MAX is being used over a network, the
upgrade must be installed on the server. It is not necessary
to reinstall client on the workstations. Reporting to the MAX including Point of Sale and Non-profit Versions will need to do a Windows to Windows conversion
once the upgrade is installed.
