Moving Reporting to the MAX including Point of Sale and Non-profit Versions to a new Server

If you are making the jump to upgrade Reporting to the MAX including Point of Sale and Non-profit Versions to a new server, there are two ways of doing so.

First option:

1. Make a copy of the file folder containing your Reporting to the MAX including Point of Sale and Non-profit Versions installation (i.e. C:\COUGAR\CMSWIN). Paste the folder to the appropriate location on the new server.
2. Run Client on the server

Second option:

1. Go into Reporting to the MAX including Point of Sale and Non-profit Versions in your Company
2. Click options > Backup Company > Backup
3. Select the Destination Path where the data will be accessible to the new server (i.e. removable media, network drive, etc)
4. Install from the CD; the Accounting package and Add-ons.
5. Restore your Data to the new install on the server
