Question:
All inventory stock quantities need to be set to zero without
accessing every record through stock item maintenance
Answer:
The process for setting
all stock item quantities to zero is as follows:
1) Backup the company then close Reporting to the MAX including Point of Sale and Non-profit Versions.
2) Open My Computer
3) Browse to the Reporting to the MAX Installation folder
4) Double click on the Icon that says UTICMS
5) Click File/Open
6) Find the company folder and double click to open it.

all stock item quantities to zero is as follows:
1) Backup the company then close Reporting to the MAX including Point of Sale and Non-profit Versions.
2) Open My Computer
3) Browse to the Reporting to the MAX Installation folder
4) Double click on the Icon that says UTICMS
5) Click File/Open
6) Find the company folder and double click to open it.
7) Open the file INCQD. Note, the file will be preceded by the
three letters of your company code.
8) Go to the menu bar and click on File and select Zap. Agree to
delete records then close out of UTICMS.
9) Open Reporting to the MAX including Point of Sale and Non-profit Versions and go to the Inventory module.
10) Click on Options from the menu bar and select File
Maintenance : Reindex Data Files. Reindex all files, then cancel
out of the Reindex Inventory Files screen.
11) Click on Options from the menu bar and select File
Maintenance : Recalculate Inventory Files.
12) Choose Rebuild Master File from Cost/Quantity File. Leave
all other range settings as they are. Then click OK.
All inventory stock item quantities will now be set to zero.
More Information
The best method for inventory stock adjustments is through the Adjust
Stock Quantities feature. However, stock records must be
accessed item by item.
