Getting by the CMSOBJ and/or GLBSSTUB  for the Reporting to the MAX

Go into the software on the server and do a backup to the default location: X:\cmswin\xxx\backups\THU\xxxdata.zip (where THU = Thursday for example).


After backup then go into windows explorer and rename X:\cmswin to X:\cmsold. Then go into the C:\winnt\system\ and delete the cmsobj.cfg. Now right mouse click on the task bar and go to task manager processes tab and end process on the ntvdm.exe. Then install the 6.5 (or the current version working with) in the x:\cmswin location and it goes right through.

When it is installed go into the dmo company and do a restore when you get to the area">

When it is installed go into the dmo company and do a restore when you get to the area, browse back to the X:\cmsold\xxx\backups\thu\and click on the xxxdata.zip. In the destination directory change it from X:\CMSWIN\DMODATA\ to X:\CMSWIN\XXX\ and restore.

This builds the company sysprof1 and 2 settings as well as creates the company directory. Then after restoring go to company setup/select company and select the xxx company and then it does the win2win conversion and it is done.
