How do I assign security rights to do a One-Sided Journal Entry

Question:

How do I assign security right to do a One-Sided Journal Entry?
Answer:

In the General Ledger module go to Options > Module Preferences and check the box titled: Allow Unbalanced Transactions. Then get out of Reporting to the MAX and sign on as SUP (Supervisor). Go to the Main Menu and choose Security. Select Add/Change User and highlight the User and click on Change. Now, click on Rights.

On the right side of the Assign Rights screen – highlight General Ledger. Then on the left side, click on Journal, then double click on Allow Out of Balance Posting until the folder opens like the folders before and after it (see above). Click on Save, and then go into Reporting to the MAX as that user and you will be to do a one-sided journal entry.
