Question:
When making a backup, or restore, an error message
will occur. The Error Header says "ODBC.NET Error", and the
message body says: "ERROR[HYS12][Microsoft][ODBC dBase
Driver] Index file not found"
This only occurs on version 8.0x

Answer:
Reporting to the MAX including Point of Sale and Non-profit Versions utilized the Dot Net framework
which required some Microsoft updates that not all computers
had.
Resolution
Upgrade to
Reporting to the MAX including Point of Sale and Non-profit Versions version 8.5 or higher to remove the
need for the Dot Net framework.
More Information
If on a network, after upgrading to version 8.5 or
higher, the shortcut target will need to be changed to make
the shortcut point to the cmsmain.exe on the network drive
instead of the workstation's hard drive. After this has been
done, client.exe must be run on all the workstations.
