Question:
When dialing out to authorize a credit card sale using PC Charge Pro a Path-File Access error message appears even though the path has been properly entered in POS.

 

Answer:
This is caused by the PCCW folder not having the correct rights to allow Reporting to the MAX including Point of Sale and Non-profit Versions to write the file to it.

Question:
When dialing out to authorize a credit card sale using PC Charge Pro a Path-File Access error message appears even though the path has been properly entered in POS.

 

Answer:
This is caused by the PCCW folder not having the correct rights to allow Reporting to the MAX including Point of Sale and Non-profit Versions to write the file to it.

Resolution

To confirm the problem, open My Computer or Windows Explorer, locate the folder that PC Charge Pro is installed in (usually C:\Program Files\PCCW\ on the server), and try to add or copy a file to that folder from the workstation. The sever will probably not allow this.

To correct the problem log on to the server with administrative rights, share the PC Charge installation folder and verify that everyone has full control of the folder (PCCW).
