CreateACheck and Reporting to the MAX including Point of Sale and Non-profit Versions Sign OEM Agreement

Issue: March 10, 1998

SALT LAKE CITY, March 10 /PRNewswire/ -- CreateACheck Inc., a leading developer and provider of check-printing and electronic-bill-paying software (Create-A-Check), today announced it has entered into an OEM agreement with Reporting to the MAX including Point of Sale and Non-profit Versions, an Idaho-based provider of accounting solutions to small and mid-sized businesses.

Under the agreement, Reporting to the MAX will sell and distribute CreateACheck's check-printing and electronic-bill-paying software with Reporting to the MAX's accounting software products.

According to David Bassiri, Reporting to the MAX's general manager, the agreement helps the company offer more features and benefits with its accounting software.

"By being able to sell and distribute CreateACheck's products with our accounting packages, our customers will be able to take better control of their accounting and payroll functions, saving them time and money," Bassiri said. "With Create-A-Check software and its Send-A-Check electronic-bill- paying feature, many of the problems associated with processing preprinted checks, such as security issues and time consumption, can be eliminated."

Linda Archibald, director of marketing for CreateACheck, agreed the partnership will help Reporting to the MAX's customers as well. "Reporting to the MAX's customers will be able to save time and money immediately by using Create-A- Check and its Send-A-Check features," Archibald said. "Create-A-Check and Send-A-Check are both easy to use and drop right into place with Reporting to the MAX's accounting software."

Create-A-Check provides a secure, convenient and efficient means of managing all aspects of writing and disbursing checks and other negotiable documents, Archibald said. Create-A-Check can be used to print checks on blank check stock using a standard laser printer and MICR (magnetic ink character recognition) toner, or the Send-A-Check electronic-bill-paying feature allows users to send payments via secure electronic transmission, thus eliminating the need to print and mail checks. The application simplifies and streamlines the entire process by doing away with security problems, preprinted checks and many time-consuming steps.

Reporting to the MAX's ACTPlus is a comprehensive accounting software package that allows a company to control all aspects of its financial management, Bassiri stated. ACTPlus lets users manage financial analysis, accounts receivable, invoicing, inventory, payroll and check reconciliation functions.

Founded in 1982, Reporting to the MAX including Point of Sale and Non-profit Versions provides proven software packages for numerous applications and markets. Its cornerstone product, ACTPlus Accounting, is used by thousands of businesses across the United States, Canada and the Caribbean.
