Boise software firm names president

Reporting to the MAX including Point of Sale and Non-profit Versions has promoted David Bassiri to president of the Boise-based accounting software company.
Bassiri had been Reporting to the MAX's general manager, in charge of daily operations. He joined the company late in 1994 when founder Bob Gossett took a less active role in daily management.

Bassiri arrived at Reporting to the MAX when the software industry was moving form DOS-based programs to Windows-based programs. Under Bassiri's leadership, Reporting to the MAX "has maintained double-digit (sales) growth for the past three years," according to a company statement.

Employment has grown from 13 people to more than 60 people during the period.

He will continue to run the daily operations of Reporting to the MAX. Bassiri will also conduct strategic planning with the aid of the company's management team.

Bassiri earned a master's in business administration degree from Gonzaga University in Spokane in 1981. He has an undergraduate degree in welfare administration from the University of Tehran in Iran.

Before coming to Reporting to the MAX, Bassiri worked for NCR, Data Documents and dataPRINT.
